16th International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing

The International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing ICIAP is organized every two years by the Italian group of researchers in pattern recognition (GIRPR), which is the Italian IAPR Member Society, with the aim to bring together researchers in image processing and pattern recognition from around the world. The 16th edition of the conference is organized by the University of Bologna, Ravenna site. The main target of ICIAP 2011, will be to provide a place in which the most recent approaches and goals in image analysis can be presented and discussed. The scientific program of ICIAP 2011 will include four invited talks as well as contributions presented in single track oral and poster sessions. In addition, special, demo and contest sessions are planned.

Main topics include:

  • Image analysis and processing (Segmentation, feature extraction and representation, shape and motion primitives, texture and color information, interactive image analysis and interpretation)
  • Pattern recognition and Vision (Statistical, syntactic and structural pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and symbolic learning, feature reduction, Cognitive vision, active vision, spatial reasoning, 2D and 3D modeling, perceptual learning, video analytics)
  • Machine Learning and Multimedia (Ambient Intelligence, Data Fusion, Machine Learning, Data Mining, classification and clustering, multimodal interaction, multimedia analysis and processing)
  • Cultural Heritage and Applications (biomedicine, biometrics, cultural heritage, OCR and document analysis, acoustic fingerprint, mobile robots and visual navigation, network security, remote sensing and environment control, video surveillance and intelligent transport systems, visual inspection and quality control).
